Starts where you are
Smart Window picks up from your thinking—your tabs, your context and your progress—so you don't have to start over or piece things together yourself.
Browsing is only half the job. New from Firefox, Smart Window works alongside you from first search to final step, so you can finish what you started.
Before you can try Smart Window, you’ll need to download the latest version of Firefox.

Smart Window picks up from your thinking—your tabs, your context and your progress—so you don't have to start over or piece things together yourself.
Smart Window transforms a mess of tabs into an intelligent workspace that organizes, compares and prioritizes—getting you to answers and decisions faster.
Smart Window lets you choose what it can use, see what’s informing every answer and fine-tune as you go—so together, you keep zeroing in on what matters.
Unlike most AI assistants, Mozilla doesn’t keep your chat transcripts, use your conversations to train models, or sell your data. To keep Smart Window running reliably, we process limited technical information. Your chat content is only shared when you choose.
“Memories” help Smart Window get more useful without compromising your privacy. They’re stored on your device, not on Mozilla’s servers, and we always try to filter out sensitive data. You can see what’s remembered, delete what doesn’t fit or turn it off.
We won’t ask you to change how you browse. Chat, search, or move between both in Smart Window.
Open Smart Window when you want help, then close it when you’re done. Get to it quickly from the toolbar.
Choose from three models or bring your own. No lock-in, no defaults you didn’t choose.
The most value is when searching for a range within a product category and wanting to see different items with their prices. The side chat can explain the differences, while the webpage can show the actual products.
I was trying to be as vague as possible to the assistant to find past searches and I still got what I needed from history… this is pretty cool.
The most valuable part of the smart browser is how it interacts with each other… That to me makes the tasks that I am trying to accomplish very easy.
The window always being there allows me to increase how much I use AI. It allows me to interact with information as thoughts come up instead of waiting until I have the opportunity to look things up.
This smart browser was able to summarize/sift through the seller's account history and buyer reviews in a much shorter period of time than it would have taken me to do it manually.
I think Memories is interesting, especially for someone who does a lot of research, just kind of like keeping tabs of what they were researching, and their train of thought.
