Steps to reproduce:

Played a video with YouTube or any other online video player like Jellyfin

Actual results:

In the previous version the thumbnail was showed in the media player from Quickshell, with the author and title. But now the thumbnail is showed is not showed.

Expected results:

With the previous version of Firefox the thumbnail of the video was also showed in the media player from Quickshell

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Audio/Video: Playback' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

To help us investigate, could you provide a bit more information?

1. Last working version — Which Firefox version did this last work in? You can check older versions by searching "Firefox Nightly" in your package history.
2. Is it only the thumbnail, or is all metadata missing? — Are the video title and artist still showing in Quickshell, with only the thumbnail absent?
3. Does it affect other MPRIS clients? — For example, does playerctl metadata show an mpris:artUrl entry while playing a YouTube video? Does GNOME Shell's media overlay show artwork?
4. MPRIS debug log — If you're comfortable with it, you can launch Firefox with:
   MOZ_LOG=MPRISServiceHandler:5 firefox 2>&1 | grep -i "mpris|image|artwork"
5. and share any lines mentioning image or artwork while playing a video.

This will help us determine whether Firefox is failing to fetch the artwork image, or whether there's a compatibility issue between Firefox's MPRIS output and Quickshell specifically.
