Firefox Focus: Privacy browser
Ratings & Reviews
After a brief adjustment period, I am completely I love with Firefox Focus and wish I could have it on my computer too. My attention span has increased. My wallet has recovered from impulse purchases. I make more thoughtful choices about what websites to go to. PLUS I get to avoid targeted ads and make it harder for companies to profit my usage data (privacy of constant cookie deletion). It is the opposite of “multiple tab syndrome” for ADHD users.
Every time I open someone else’s Safari on iOS, I find at least dozens browser tabs, which is unused history with unwanted cookies and storage. The very first thing that every iOS user should do is load Firefox Focus, erase Safari history, pull it off the toolbar and replace it.Apple makes private browsing difficult to find and the retention of old tabs a seductively bad habit.
I really want to like this browser. It’s super clean. No muss. No fuss. The only thing it’s missing is dark mode for web pages. Brave has it. Safari has extensions for dark mode and auto-reader mode you can toggle. I want to use this browser, but I find myself sulking back over to the others because I don’t wanna be blinded. Please fix this soon. Dark mode and reader mode is a must.
This is a feature on normal Firefox that is missing from focus where you can hold the back button to go back a few pages instead of just the immediate previous page. This is important because occasionally websites will get locked into a loop where really you need to back out a few steps to get out
This has become my go-to browser on all my mobile devices. It’s fast, easy to use, and since browser data isn’t retained from session to session, I know that less of my browsing information is being gathered up to be used in ways I did not agree to.
The best private browser it’s simple fast. The only thing that is needed is the ability to have more than one tab open at a time other than that this private browser has everything that a regular browser should have. No fluff no extra plug-ins or anything like that. Just simple straightforward browser
