I really like Gemini Notebook, but I’m having a problem with handwritten lecture notes. When I upload a scanned handwritten PDF, Notebook says the document is blank or can’t be read, even though the pages are clear and another AI can read and transcribe the same file. Please improve the OCR and handwriting recognition so Notebook can accurately read handwritten notes instead of treating them as empty documents. This would make it much more useful for students who study from handwritten lecture notes.
Unreliable File Rendering is Ruining My Study Workflow

I have been a dedicated Goodnotes user, but recent updates have made the app incredibly unreliable for importing lecture slides. As a medical student using an iPad Pro M4, I rely on this app for precise clinical exam prep, but the PDF/PPTX import rendering is currently broken Completely. Shuffled Images: A critical rendering bug is randomizing the visuals of my lecture decks by shuffling image assets across consecutive slides. For example, a line graph meant for a "Temporal distribution" slide gets pasted under "Important cytokines" on the next page, while the actual cellular diagram gets pushed to a completely different slide title. Worse, the app occasionally glitches and swaps images across the document entirely—displaying an unrelated image from page 13 on page 26, completely replacing the correct diagram. When accuracy is critical, having an app scramble your clinical notes is unacceptable. Text Clipping: Combined with the image shuffling, there is a persistent bug where text at the bottom of the margins is clipped and cut off entirely, causing me to miss crucial information. I hope the developers fix these file encoding and rendering bugs soon, as it is severely impacting my productivity.
Have to send a request twice

I don’t know what is wrong with the updated version but when I use a new chat or an ongoing one, I would have to send my text/ request twice. The first one wouldn’t go through for some reason but it will work the second time. Instantly knew it was a glitch from the updated version. The online Gemini version works fine but not the app on my phone. It’s stressful and frustrating always sending a request and it wouldn’t work at first but at the second.

Gemini is a completely wonderful app I must say, but just one thing is troubling. I'm a folktale images to video story creator and I'm finding it difficult to maintain my character descriptions due to Gemini inconsistent character descriptions image generation. Please improve it's ability to generate character descriptions consistency so as to have same consistent character across all images generated. Thanks for the looking into the improvement. I'm looking forward to such new update.
