Playing the piano should feel like exactly that – playing! Skoove’s friendly and entertaining lessons cover everything from Bach and Chopin to Billie Eilish and Coldplay, so you can learn to master the music you love, and have fun while you’re at it.
What we love: Skoove is brilliant for beginners, thanks to its extensive and very clear video lessons. It’ll teach you how to read notation, train your ear and sit comfortably to avoid strained fingers and forearms.

Quick tip: Want to know how your practice is going? Ask Skoove to listen to your lesson and give real-time feedback so you can see where there’s room for improvement. The app uses your iPhone or iPad’s mic to listen to acoustic pianos and also works with USB keyboards.
Meet the creator: Skoove was built by Florian Plenge and Stephan Schulz of Learnfield, the multi-award-winning developer behind violin-learning app Trala. Its lessons were created in partnership with piano educator Dominik Schirmer, who has taught at Sir Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts.
